The Lowry High School track and field team was in Fallon for a tri-meet with Churchill County and Fernley and brought home a number of first-place finishes.
Jovi Kuskie picked a pair of wins in the 800 meters and 1,600 meters. The junior set a personal-best time of 2:35.90 in the 800 and 5:36.07 in the 1,600 meters.
Hannah Whitted won the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-10, while teammate Kenzi Petersen was third at 4-8. Petersen was third in the long jump, with a mark of 12-11.25 and Whitted was seventh in the 100-meter dash at 14.57, a personal best for her.
Lucy Dangel earned a runner-up finish in the long jump, with a personal-best mark of 13-8 and the junior was fourth in the pole vault at 7-0, another personal best. Mia Hernandez was third in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 13-5.75, third in the 200 meters at 29.78, another personal best and fourth in the 100-meter dash at 14.40 for a third personal best. Hernandez was fifth in the pole vault at 6-6.
Ashley Rookstool placed third in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 7-0, which was a personal best and Lesley Martinez was third in the shot put and discus. Martinez set a personal best in the shot put at 28-2.50 and she threw the discus 86-03.
Emily Shoenecker was fourth in the discus at 82-01 and fifth in the shot put (23-0, while Saree Millikan placed sixth in the shot put at 22-10. Millikan had a throw of 59-2 in the discus to place ninth.
Ellanora Petersen was sixth in the long jump (12-6.50), eighth in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 30.62 and 10th in the 100-meter dash at 14.84 for another personal best.
Calli Keith set a personal best in the triple jump at 24-1 to finish seventh and the sophomore was 15th in the long jump and 17th in the 100-meter dash.
Churchill County won the team title with 107.5 points, Fernley (76) was second and Lowry (49.5) was third.
Iysis Arriola was a double winner on the boys side, taking the top spot in the long jump at 18-5.50 and 38-1.25 in the triple jump. Arriola was second in the 100-meter dash in a personal-best time of 12.12.
Tyler Morrison set a personal best in the 3,200 meters to win the event with a time of 12:08.98 and the junior was second in the 800 meters with another personal best at 2:13.33.
Gunner Bradley set a personal best in the high jump at 5-8 and the junior was the runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 22.50. Jeremy Walker was the runner-up in the 1,600 meters at 5:14.57 and he was third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.97.
Lorsix Silva was second in the triple jump with a leap of 35-8.50 and 11th in the long jump (12-11) and Ivan Lara was the runner-up in the 3,200 meters with a personal-best time of 12:10.58 and fourth in the 1,600 meters at 5:32.02.
Kaid Sanchez placed second in the pole vault with a personal-best mark of 9-6, while teammate Shaun Gilliland was third at 9-0. Sanchez finished seventh in the long jump with a personal-best leap of 15-3.75 and Gilliland was 10th in the event at 13-8.
Tyson Terry collected a runner-up finish in the discus with a personal-best throw of 1-2-2 and the sophomore was fourth in the shot put at 31-7.
Freshman Nomar Aguirre was third in the shot put with a toss of 32-7.50 and third in the discus with a personal-best toss of 99-11.
Scot Brown (5-2), Jesse Jeronimo (5-2) and Mason Rickard (5-0) were third, fifth and seventh in the high jump, while Jeronimo was fourth in the discus at 92-5.
Freshmen Austin Formby (12:18.95) and Angel Huerta (12:23.56) were fourth and fifth in the 3,200 meters and set personal bests.
Huerta (5:34.28) placed fifth in the 1,60 meters and Formby finished with a personal-best time of 5:39.53 to place sixth. John Boyle was ninth in the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters and Dominic Jensen placed ninth in the 100-meter dash with a personal-best time of 12.71.
Julian Aguirre (84-10), Angel Diaz-Rodriguez (80-09) and Ryan Arrien (72-01) were fifth, sixth and eighth in the discus and Arrien and Diaz-Rodriguez were sixth and seventh in the shot put. Julian Aguirre earned a 10th-place finish in the shot put.
The 4x800 relay of Morrison, Lara, Huerta and Walker won with a time of 9:44.
Lowry and Churchill County tied for first in the team standings with 90.5 apiece and Fernley (71) was third.
Lowry travels to Fernley on Saturday to end the regular season.
