The Battle Mountain High School track and field team hosted Pershing County and West Wendover, along with a handful of 1A schools this past Friday.
Jolena Ayers ran the 100-meter dash in 13.75 seconds, while stopping the clock at 2:44 in the 800 meters and 6:16 in the 1,600 meters. In addition, the sophomore had a leap of 30-0 in the triple jump.
Emily Lisabelle had a time of 16:34.1 in the 3,200 meters, which was a personal best for her. The junior ran the 1,600 meters at 7:14. Yezzel Guizar set a personal best in the pole vault at 6-0 and the junior ran the 100-meter dash at 14.86, for another personal best. She had a mark of 10-6 in the long jump.
Vivian Gomez had a toss of 14-1 in the shot put for a personal best and she had another personal best in the discus with a toss of 42-5. Lilly Peterson ran the 100-meter hurdles at 26.02 and she had a mark of 12-8 in the long jump.
Lolly Argueta cleared the bar in the high jump at 3-8 to go with a mark of 9-10 in the long jump and a time of 16.62 in the 100-meter dash. Anyeli Guizar cleared the bar in the high jump at 3-2 for a personal best, to go with a time of 15.93 in the 100-meter dash.
McKenzie Burkhart had jump of 16-9 in the triple jump for a personal best and Kailee Wolters ran the 100-meter dash in 15.37 and the 200 meters at 32.37.
The 4x100 relay finished with a time of 1:04.2.
On the boys side, Sean Bengoa stopped the watch at 12.38 in the 100-meter dash, 24.8 in the 200 meters for a personal best and the sophomore had a mark of 5-2 in the high jump.
Declan McClary had a mark of 33-7 in the triple jump to go with a time of 5:23 in the 1,600 meters for a personal best. Davis Traweek had a time of 6:34 in the 1,600 meters and 15:17.4 in the 3,200 meters, while Zach Dugan ran the 100-meter hurdles at 22.0.
Ben Disbro (55,12) and Jimmy Cox (55.2) set personal bests in the 300-meter hurdles and in addition Disbro had a throw of 92-0 in the discus.
Sean Scherer cleared the bar at 8-0 in the pole vault, he had a mark of 13-6 in the long jump and a time of 13.96 in the 100-meter dash. Cox set a season-best mark of 14-6 in the long jump.
Isaiah Powell ran the 400 meters in 58.59 and a mark of 19-3 in the long jump and Alex Colver ran the 400 meters at 1:03.8 and 13.19 in the 100-meter dash. Nolan Chopp set a personal best in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.79, a personal best in the discus with a throw of 131-5 and a mark of 19-3 in the long jump.
Julian Sosa had a leap of 15-2 in the long jump to go with a personal best in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.27. Chris Ortiz ran the 200 meters at 31.43 and the 100-meter dash at 14.35.
Joey Huhta had a throw of 110-0 in the discus, followed by Aydan Samuelson (88), Ernesto Leon (80) and Michael Lovelace (62-7).
The boys 4x100 relay had a time of 48.81, with the 4x200 relay finishing at 1:50.1 and the 4x400 at 4:21.4.
Battle Mountain travels to Eureka on Friday and will host the Northern 2A Regional Championships on May 22.
