Battle Mountain football players earn all-league honors

The Northern 2A released its all-league football selections for the shortened six-week season this spring. Battle Mountain High School had a number of its players named to the first team.

The Longhorns’ Anthony Silva named the first-team quarterback, while Jose Guizar and Sean Bengoa were named to the first team at running back and wide receiver, respectively. In addition, Guizar was named to the second team at linebacker.

 Brice Domagala collected first team honors at tight end, as well as on the defensive line. Nolan Chopp was a first-team choice on the offensive line and at linebacker on defense and Lyle Whitten was named to the first team on the offensive and defensive lines. 

Terrance Fetterly was a first-team selection at defensive back and named to the second team at wide receiver and a s a return specialist.

Kobe Lake was named to the first team at linebacker, Aidan Gilbert was a second-team pick at offensive line and Declan McClary was named to the second team at defensive back.  

Aydan Samuelson was an honorable mention choice on the offensive and defensive lines and Max Villanueva was named to the second team on the defensive line.
