Obituary: Lewis Charles “Chuck” Lockridge

December 1, 1969 – March 30, 2021



Lewis died at his home in La Mesa, California of a heart attack the evening of March 30th.

He graduated from Battle Mountain High School in 1987 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 2012 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. 

He returned to Battle Mountain and was employed by Atlas Copco before returning to be near his beloved ocean in California. At the time of his death he was employed by San Diego Habitat for Humanity in Customer Support Services.

Lewis is survived by his son Nicholas (April) Lockridge, parents James and Nancy Lockridge, sister Stephanie (Jim) Wheeler, niece Meghan (George) Ruiz, nephew Reggie Wheeler, great-nephew George III, extended family, Noel Lockridge, Patty and Kenny Gowin, Miranda Coyne, all his San Diego Habitat for Humanity family especially   Anne, Pam, Fernando, Connor and his cherished fur babies Molly and Taz.

A celebration of life will be later in the summer with the release of his ashes at his favorite beach in San Diego.
