Lady Longhorns drop matches to Mustangs, Ladycats

The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team dropped its last two matches, both on the road.
The Lady Longhorns (1-3) traveled to Lovelock on Wednesday, March 17, and lost 4-2 to rival Pershing County.
The match was tied at 1-1 after 40 minutes of the play, when the Lady Mustangs pulled away in the second half with three goals.
Regan Buller had stopped nine of 13 shots on goal, including a penalty kick by Pershing County.
After not playing the week before, Battle Mountain was back on the field on Saturday in Ely and lost 9-0 to the Ladycats.
White Pine netted six goals in the first 40 minutes of play and added three goals in the second half.
Battle Mountain plays its home finale Wednesday (tonight) against Pershing County at 5 p.m. The Lady Longhorns travel to West Wendover on Saturday.
Battle Mountain ends the season with a road trip back to Ely on Friday, April 9
