James W. Reed “Jim” passed away on March 12, 2021 at the age of 83 at home in Winnemucca, Nevada.
He was born on June 1, 1937 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to George and Anna Reed.
He attended high school in Pennsylvania and then joined the United States Air Force.
While in the service he worked as an airplane mechanic. After the service, he worked doing autobody work and painting.
He also bartended and worked at Sundance Casino.
Jim moved from Pennsylvania to California then to Nevada, where he spent the rest of his life. Jim always swore he was going to marry Helen Fulk and did in 1986 the two spent 39 years together.
Jim was a Lutheran and enjoyed helping people. He enjoyed visiting his friends, playing the slots, and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, 3 stepdaughters, Kathy Longo, Susie Rowley, and Jackie Willis. Several grandchildren, sister, Helen, and brother-in-law Ross Fulk.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Reed, grandparents, Thomas and Grace Reed, brother, William Reed. Brothers-in-law, Joe Berridge, Harold Fulk and Don Fulk, mother-in-law, Louise Fulk, and sister-in-law Peggy Berridge.
