BMHS boys soccer ties White Pine, loses to West Wendover

The Battle Mountain High School boys soccer team stands at 0-1-1 on the season after its first two matches.

The Longhorns opened the year on Saturday, March 6, at home with a 3-3 tie to White Pine.

Battle Mountain was back home this past Saturday to face West Wendover. The Wolverines jumped out to a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes of play and held on for a 6-4 victory over the Longhorns.

Battle Mountain rallied for three goals in the second half, but fell short in the comeback.

Battle Mountain hosts White Pine on Friday 1 p.m. and Sage Ridge on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Sage Ridge match is the home finale for the Battle Mountain boys.
