The Lovelock Softball Association announced this past weekend that the tournament scheduled for June 25-27 has been postponed to Frontier Days weekend in August.
The adult softball season is well underway. It started June 7, so as of press time, each team has four or five games under their belts.
They play biweekly at McDougal Field on Mondays and Thursdays, starting at 6 p.m.
“It seems every season the gap between the teams closes,” said Jensen. Many of the players have been with the league since it started a few years ago.
This year’s teams are Thick N Wild, Bats N Racks, Weekend Warriors, Second Stringers, Wolf Pack, Brew Crew and Modelo time.
So far, the Second Stringers and Thick N Wild are undefeated.
However, it’s still early, and things can change quickly at the softball fields.
