Union Township Justice Court

May 13

Andrew Jay Joseph Menicucci was charged with driving under the influence and open container. On December 4, 2020 the defendant entered a not guilty plea and requested a court appointed counsel. After the defendant was not present for his bench trial on April 8, the court issued an order to show cause. On May 13 the defendant was present and entered a no contest plea. The defendant and his court appointed attorney read and signed the DUI Admonishment and waiver of rights form. 

The court ordered as follows: sentence to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of 1 year, stayed jail time on the condition he serve 2 days. Credit was given for 2 days time served. Defendant was ordered to pay fine of $400+$125 AA+$60 forensic fee for a total of $585. He was given credit for 1 day time served for a remaining total of $435 to be paid. The DUI School and victim impact panel was ordered to be completed by September 1, 2021. Pursuant to the negotiations the county made a motion to dismiss open container charge.



May 19

Joesaya Jay Parrish was served a warrant in Washoe on misdemeanor, fail to yield right away from stop sign. Parrish was not present at the hearing. The DA requested the cash bail in the amount of $395 be forfeited and the case closed, the court followed the DA’s request.



Mason Silva was charged with misdemeanor, driving without a valid driver's license and no seat belt. The defendant was present and provided the court with a copy of his valid drivers license.The court granted the DA’s motion to dismiss the citation based on this evidence.



Teodioso Perez-Mendoz was charged with misdemeanor, petit larceny. The court ruled as follows: fine $1000 + $140 cod a total of $1,140. The court suspended $750 of the fines and fees for 1 year on the condition the defendant has no like violations of the law. The defendant was ordered to pay the remaining $390 of fees in full.



Beatriz Gracia Recendez was charged with misdemeanor, petit larceny. The court ruled as follows: fine $1000 + $140 cod a total of $1,140. The court suspended $750 of the fines and fees for 1 year on the condition the defendant has no like violations of the law. The defendant was ordered to pay the remaining $390 of fees in full.



Shaina Chantelle Oneal was charged with misdemeanor battery. On May 12, the defendant entered a not guilty plea at the counter. The defendant represented herself in court. The DA made a motion for a one time dismissal pursuant to statute. The court granted the DA’s motion and the case was dismissed.
