Obituary: Craig Duane Jarvis

Craig Duane Jarvis passed on peacefully at home May 27, 2021.

Craig was born March 19, 1957 in Hamilton Montana.

He was born into a wonderful time where he often talked about his childhood as being better than any Huck Finn story.

He had three childhood friends in Hamilton at the age of 3 that he cherished until the end.

At the age of 12 he moved to Mudlake Idaho, where he farmed with his family. He made many new friends that he kept close to his heart.

He mastered many skills on the farm that he brought through his life in everything he did. He could build, fix or invent anything.

As an adult he did many jobs, which eventually lead him back to Montana where he met his wife Bea. They were married in 1986.

They trucked around the country for a couple years until they made their way back to Hamilton where their first son Rudy was born.

He logged and had a log homes business. After His 2nd son Zachary was born, they moved to Battle Mountain, Nevada, where he mined for Newmont for 26 years.

He retired from mining in January of 2019. For the past 2 years he spent his summers in Corvallis Montana gardening, visiting with old friends and sitting on the porch relaxing.

He is reuniting with his parents Duane and Alta Jarvis, brother Dennis (Denny) Jarvis, sister Mildred (Millie) Hunter. He is survived by his wife Beatrix (Bea) Jarvis,  sons Rudy Jarvis, Zachary Jarvis (Christianne), brother Rodney (Rod) Jarvis (Peggy), sister Gwendolyn (Gwen) Twitchell ( Jim), many wonderful nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, and an extended family of cherished friends across the county.
