The Humboldt Sun reports all felony hearings, misdemeanor convictions and dismissals for which the court releases information. When requested by the individual, the Sun will post the person’s mug shot with their court disposition.
Union Township Justice Court
July 13
Rikki Lee Larue was charge with misdemeanor count one battery and county two resisting a public officer. On April 11 Larue made their first court appearance. Following this appearance, a memo was sent to Humboldt County Detention Center on April 14 for the defendant to be released as no criminal complaint was filed in a timely manner by the HCDA. The criminal complaint was filed on April 15. On May 24 the defendant entered a plea of not guilty. A hearing was held on July 13 with the defendant present representing herself. The DA made a motion to dismiss the case. The court granted the DA’s motion and the case was dismissed.
Ruben Alejandro Solorio-Robolledo was charge with misdemeanor no proof of current insurance and failure to drive on right half. The defendant made his first appearance on these charges on June 24, 2020. At the arraignment hearing on July 27, 2020 the defendant entered a not guilty plea and requested court appointed counsel. The defendant completed an affidavit of indigency and the application was denied. The parties agreed two separate times during the months of December 2020 to May 2021 to reset the pre-trial. The hearing was held on July 13. The defendant was not present but his attorney of record Max Stovall was present on his behalf. The DA made a motion to dismiss the case. The court granted the DA’s motion and the case was dismissed in open court.
Sean Cooper was charged with misdemeanor battery. On June 7 the defendant plead nolo contendre to the charges. The sentence hearing was held on July 13. The defendant was present in court representing himself. The DA informed the court the defendant will pay the restitution to the Humboldt County Treasurer’s Office in the amount of $20. The defendant made a motion to withdraw his plea. This motion was met with no objection from the prosecution. The DA made a motion to dismiss the case. The court granted the DA’s motion and the case was dismissed in open court.
July 20
Bobby Eric Garza was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny. Garza made his first appearance on the charges on April 28, 2021. On June 21 the defendant entered a no contest plea at the counter. At the sentencing hearing on July 20 the court ruled as follows: 10 days jail with 10 days stayed for a period of 1 year, fine $1000+$140 AA for a total of $1,140 with $640 stayed for a period of one year. Jail time and fine stayed on condition no like violations. The defendant was ordered to pay the remaining balance of $500.
Samantha Raynn was charged with three misdemeanor traffic violations: Count one resident with non-NV driver’s license. Count two stop lamps required. Count three unsafe lane changes. On June 8 the defendant was present at the court hearing representing herself. At the hearing, the DA informed the court the parties came to a deferred prosecution agreement, the defendant is to obtain a valid driver’s license and repair her stop lamps. The DA made a motion to dismiss count three. The court granted the DA’s motion and count three was dismissed. At the review hearing on July 20 the court dismissed counts one and two as the defendant complied with the terms of the deferred prosecution.
