The Battle Mountain swim team concluded its season at Idlewild Pool in Reno at the 2021 NNA Silver State Championships, which was held July 16-18.
There were 30 teams and 401 swimmers from California and Nevada. The finals on July 18, were canceled due to air quality.
Susie Thompson finished fourth in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 38.25, a 14.44 second improvement. She placed 16th in the girls 200 individual medley with a time of 3 minutes, 37.13 seconds, a .24 second improvement. She placed 15th in the 100-meter breaststroke at 2:01.47 and 21st in the 100-meter freestyle (1:33.40).
Nevaeh Serna was third in the 100-meter backstroke, as she took off nearly 24 seconds to have a time of 1:36.98. She was fourth in the 100-meter freestyle at 1:25.89 and ninth in the 50-meter backstroke at 54.33, a 16.88 second improvement.
Serna was fifth in the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 3:29.71, a 6.79 second improvement. The young swimmer placed eighth in the 100-meter breaststroke at 1:59.49, three second better than her previous best time.
Serna was fourth in the 200-meters with a time of 3:03.21 and seventh in the 50-meter backstroke (47.43), a 12.53 second improvement.
Piper Linnenbringer was 23rd in the 50-meter butterfly at 1:20.47, 26th in the 50-meter freestyle (56.03) and 28th in the 100-meter freestyle (2:14.96).
Mckenzie Linnenbringer placed 24th in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 2:06.28, a 3.50 second improvement. She was 29th in the in the 50-meter freestyle (59.86) and 24th in the 50-meter backstroke (1:33.49).
Zayne Hall took off six seconds in the 100-meter backstroke to finish seventh in a time of 1:21.06 and he was fifth in the 50-meter freestyle (28.7), taking off nearly 14 seconds.
Hall was fifth in the 200-meter backstroke in a time of 2:54.37, a 15.21 improvement and ninth in the 200-meter freestyle at 2:39.09, a 9.41 second improvement.
Hall placed fourth in the 100-meter breaststroke at 1:31.18, a 15.59 second improvement and he was sixth in the 100-meter freestyle at 1:05.09, three seconds better than his previous best.
He took off nearly 14 seconds off in the 100-meter butterfly to place sixth at 1:23.13 and he chopped off 20 seconds in the 200-meter individual medley to place third at stop the watch at 2:47.36.
Saige Bakker was 15th in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 4:35.67, 17th in the 100-meter backstroke (2:11.55), 22ns in the 50-meter butterfly (1:19.49), 24th in the 50-meter backstroke (1:04.56), 29th in the 100-meter freestyle (2:15.02) and 37th in the 50-meter freestyle (1:06.02).
Daxon Bakker was 10th in the 100-meter backstroke at 2:38.61 and 11th in the 200-meter freestyle (4:03.74). He was seventh in the 100-meter backstroke at 2:04.58, 12th in the 100-meter backstroke (2:04.58) and 13th in the 50-meter freestyle (48.21).
