Nona Louise Hawkins passed away June 15, 2021 due to natural causes, at the age of 85.
Nona was born October 15, 1935 to Francis & Altha Busch in Mancos, Co.
She was the 2nd child, with brothers Francis Jr. and Ernest (both deceased).
Nona was survived by her children, Peggy Wright, Anita Dodge and Raymond Bush (wife Anita), and step children, Coy Hawkins, Jr., Todd Hawkins and Shelly Mckenzie. Nona loved being grandma and great grandma. Grandchildren: Daniel Vigil, Jennifer Kocovsky, Alicia Lewis, Jessica Colbert, Robert Bush, Christopher Bush, and Rachel Bush. Great grandchildren: Kortney Vigil, Gavin Hawkins, Taylor Hawkins and Liam Kocovsky.
Nona enjoyed fishing, Crocheting, painting, Genealogy and service projects for her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; her community and the Senior Center.
Nona survived her husband Coy Hawkins, spending 35 years in Winnemucca before her declining health took her to AZ to live with her daughters, Peggy and Anita.
Nona’s kindness and sweet spirit will be missed by her family and many friends in Winnemucca, Nev. And in AZ.
Nona’s family will bring her home to rest beside her beloved husband Coy.
A small graveside service will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Winnemucca Cemetery for all those who wish to attend.
