Lois V. Collins passed away on July 3, 2021, in Seattle, Washington. She was born on July 18, 1948, in Schurz, NV to Benjamin Collins and Rosie Lossing Crutcher.
She spent her younger years in Hawthorne and McDermitt, NV.
She graduated from McDermitt High School with the Class of 1967.
She then attended and graduated with the Class of 1969 Haskell Indian Jr College in Lawrence, Kansas.
Upon graduating from college, she traveled to San Francisco to work for the Social Security Administration.
She resided in San Francisco for 3 years then transferred to Seattle, Washington, for a promotion with the Social Security Administration, where she later retired from.
Lois enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends. She loved to dine out, due to her lack of cooking skills, and she would enjoy her native foods at every opportunity.
She is survived by her mother, Rosie Lossing Crutcher, siblings, Bradley (Jane) Crutcher, Ricky (Carmen) Crutcher, Arlo (Sheila) Crutcher, Lorene Judy Jackson, Vallery Hernandez, and Brenda (Alfred) Jackson. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and her two good friends in Seattle, Linda Black and Rae-Rae Stephenson.
She is preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Collins and her stepfather, Floyd Crutcher. Grandparents, Frank and Winifred Greeley Collins and Harry and Effie Bobb Lossing. Brothers, Michael Collins and Floyd Crutcher Jr., sisters, Dee Crutcher and Floydene Crutcher. Nieces, Georgette and Delores Abel, nephew, Cody Crutcher. Aunts, Irene Jack, Evelyn Crutcher, Della Lossing, Ruby Lossing, Laverne Williams and Lucille Pete. Uncles, Ervin Jimmy, Weldon Lossing and Edgar Lossing and Great Aunt, Annie Lossing Barr.
Services for Lois V Collins will be on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the Ft. McDermitt Tribal Gym at 11:00 am. Interment at the Ft. McDermitt Tribal Cemetery.
