Three-way tie for first place in Emelie Dillon Memorial scramble

The Winnemucca Junior Golf season began on Wednesday, June 30, with the Emelie Dillon Memorial scramble.

After the nine-hole tournament was, finished, three teams tied for first with scores of 33.

Those teams included Carole Doughty, Katie Cassinelli, Hadlee Corbitt and Bryelle Weber.

Also shooting 33 was Laurie Pickett, Bailey Hayes, Presley Hayes, Maddux Hislop and Nolan Monson and Marlea Pointer, Casen Balaam, Cal Peters, Dusty Vigil and Jayden Robertson.

Finishing fourth with a 39 was the group of Melissa Murphy, Kailani Rodriguez, Armando Rodriguez, Karli Rodriguez and Jacob Chadwell.

Placing fifth with a 40 was Lori Warnert, Luke Fentress, Alia Novi, Ayden Kestle and Max Sampson. 

There are three tournaments left in the season starting on July 7, with the Doug Maddux Memorial.

 The Doc Verner Memorial will be played on July 15 and the Jeff Wade Memorial on July 21.

The tournaments start at 9 a.m. each week, expect for the 14-17 year-old division that plays 18 holes — they start at 7:30 a.m. 

Price for each tournament to play is $5.
