RENO — Grant Sherfield scored 27 points, making it six 20-point games in a row, and Nevada beat Fresno State 79-65 on Sunday.
Sherfield hit all 10 of his free throw attempts. He added eight assists.
Desmond Cambridge Jr. had 12 points and 11 rebounds, his first double-double of the season, for Nevada (10-5, 5-3 Mountain West Conference). Tre Coleman added 11 points.
Orlando Robinson had 15 points and eight rebounds for the Bulldogs (5-5, 3-5). Deon Stroud added 13 points and six rebounds. Isaiah Hill had 13 points.
The final 20 minutes would be a well-rounded period for the Pack, as five players scored at least seven points, led by nine apiece from Sherfield and freshman Coleman.
Warren Washington, who went 4-for-5 for eight points in the second half, scored four-straight to open play after Fresno State’s technical free throws, getting Nevada’s lead up to nine at 37-28.
Nevada defeated Fresno State 73-57 on Friday. Nevada travels to Laramie this weekend for its third road series in four weeks.
The Wolf Pack will face Wyoming Friday, Jan. 22 at 5 p.m., before closing the series next Sunday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m.,on CBS Sports Network.
