Jerry (Gerald) LeRoy Wilks passed away January 22, 2021 at the age of 63. Jerry was born August 22, 1957 in Idaho.
On June 7, 1980 he married Shelli Sander, they were married 40 years, and share 3 children.
He spent 28 years in Round Mountain, NV working for RMGC and he spent the last 4 years in Winnemucca, NV working at Florida Canyon Mine as a Plant Maintenance Scheduler.
In his younger years he liked to ride bulls in the rodeo.
Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He loved being a dad and grandpa and spending time with his family.
He was also a big football fan and he always got great joy out of being right. He is preceded in death by his father Ervin Wilks, step-father Ben Hardy, mother Elsie Hardy, sister Jenny Haken, and sister Donna Meyers.
He is survived by his wife Shelli Wilks, daughter Natasha Harris and husband Brett, son Christopher Wilks and fiance’ Erica Berg, son Jeremy Wilks and wife Regina, grandchildren Lariah, Kody, Jacob, Brooke, Kirsten, Jolene, Daizy, Haley, McKinley and Ember, sisters Valerie Domogalla, Ervina Wilks, Kay Hutton and brother Pete Hardy.
He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services are being planned for February 27 at 11 a.m. in Winnemucca at the convention center.
