Obituary: Harvey Thomas Fenton Sr.

Harvey Thomas Fenton Sr., made his transition to the great beyond surrounded by his loving wife of 44 years Mary and his loving family. 

He is celebrating one hell of a reunion with is parents, sister patty, step son Glenn his favorite horse Buck his dog Bella and many friends.

Harvey was born to Harry A Fenton and Ethel V Berry in Warren, Ohio on Jan 8, 1946. Harvey was a man of mighty Grit, a laugh like no other and a hug that instantly made you feel loved. 

Harvey had a heart as big as the west and would help anyone at anytime. He was one heck of a mechanic and could fix just about anything. 

He retired after 39 ½ years in the Elevator Industry. He loved to teach a hard lesson and challenged his kids to a good hand slap fight or leg wrestle which he usually won. He was right most of the time and would let you never forget it. 

He had a flamboyant temperament, and just about the time he would lose it, he would say Sorry I blew up, or Remain Calm.

He loved to Rope and Ride, Fish and Hunt and Hunt he did with finally getting a big horn sheep and sharing his last hunt with his grandson Zack, which meant more to him than words could express.

There was no backup in him or backdown from anyone or anything. 

He was a real sap, he cried at commercials and movies.

He was grateful to leave this world knowing the character of his son’s-in-law’s as his daughters were precious to him. 

He is survived by daughters Gwen Bunn(Wade) Kristy Cunningham (Jeremy) and step Daughter Aleta Durney (Pete) his Son Harvey T Fenton Jr. , grandchildren Zack, Jacob,Cunningham, Kaiden, Sydney, and Koleton Fenton, Chase and Macy Bunn, Glenn Grashuis, Chancey Endres, and Hudson Kuykendall.He was also Blessed with 5 great grandchildren, Quincy, Karsyn, Meyer, Landon, Jessa and one on the way.

He is also survived by Sister-in-laws Kathleen Bradley (Ken) and Linda Lee. 

Harvey was proud to be one of the original Nevada State Search and Rescue members now known as the Washoe County Search and Rescue, and a Past board of Directors of Reno Rodeo. 

His last years were spent in the Rural Community of Paradise Valley, NV where he forged many friendships.

No services are planned at this time due to Covid, Possible celebration of life down the road.
