Domagala named Northern 2A Player of the Year

The Battle Mountain High School football team was rewarded well for its run to the semifinals of the NIAA State Championships, with a number of postseason awards. 

The Longhorns finished the year 7-3 and 6-2 in league play.

Brice Domagala was named the Northern 2A Player of the Year, as he led the Longhorns from the quarterback position. Domagala threw for over 1,000 yards with nine touchdowns. 

In addition, he ran for nearly 550 yards on the ground and scored 12 touchdowns.

Terrance Fetterly was a first—team choice at three different positions.

The senior earned awards at running back, defensive back and return specialist.

Fetterly ran for over 500 yards on the season with eight touchdowns. 

He also had 30 receptions for 413 yards and two touchdowns.  

Ben George was a first-team choice at offensive line and Aydan Samuelson was named to the first team on the defensive line and to the second team on the offensive line.

Cannyn Bundy was a first-team selection at linebacker and Max Villanueva was chosen to the second team at defensive line. 

Jr. Vazquez was named to the second team at wide receiver and was an honorable mention pick at defensive back. 

Anthony Silva earned second-team honors at wide Receiver and defensive back.

Asher Bundrock was named to the honorable-mention team at offensive line and linebacker. 

Aidan Gilbert was an honorable mention choice at offensive line and linebacker and Dante Fratto was a honorable mention choice at offensive line.
