Sept. 14, 1947 – Aug. 4, 2021
Micky Tolbert passed away suddenly at 73 on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, in Battle Mountain, Nevada.
She was born Michele Francis Logozzo on September 14, 1947, in Yakima, Washington to Andy and Vada Logozzo.
After graduating from Sammamish High School in 1966, she set about on adventures taking her from Seattle to San Francisco to Missoula and everywhere in between.
She married Sid Tolbert, the love of her life, on December 31, 1970.
These two love birds began their family quest and set about the western states following Sid’s drilling work before finally planting roots in Battle Mountain in 1988, the place that she called home.
She was a faithful servant of the Lord, serving in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Micky had a very strong testimony in her Savior Jesus Christ, that was demonstrated by her everyday actions.
Upon her arrival in Battle Mountain, she got involved in several community service activities. From Little League, working the elections, Meals on Wheels, Senior Sober and so on, she would find some way to serve people.
Micky had so much compassion and love for everyone, always putting others before herself. Often described as a Gem, she touched everyone that she encountered, always brightening their day.
She once removed toilet paper from a stranger’s trousers in a store, to spare them the embarrassment that would surely come.
Micky was a beloved and dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. Her dedication, compassion and selflessness are unparalleled. The loving memories will be shared, treasured, and laughed about.
The angel’s bellies probably already hurt from laughter since her arrival.
She is survived by her husband Sid; brothers Jack and Mike; children Thane and Olivia, Micah and Kalee, Seth and Amber, Beau and Sarah, Rachel and Mike, Trinity and Ray; Grandchildren Jed, Jade, Sid, DJ, Travis, Olive, Hazel, Grady, Bryn, Deandra, Jeter, Burklee, Emma, Rocky, Mikel; Great-Grandchildren David, Violet, and Jed Jr.
She was preceded in death by parents Andy and Vada Logozzo, Lloyd and Hildred Tolbert; brothers Clark, Ray, and Louis Tolbert; and her son, Travis.
Micky’s family is honoring her wishes for no services or fuss about her passing.
An angel on earth and still with us all in our hearts, everybody knows that the world is a brighter place because she was in it.
