Drag racers from around the area were back at the Good Times Drag Strip this past weekend for the Northern Nevada Racing Association Awesome August races. Test and tune and Jackpot races were held Friday night and drivers in the Pro and Sportsman/Street classes battled it out for bragging rights on Saturday night. John Swartz won the Jackpot race on Friday and Steve Wasinger was second. On Saturday, Joe Gourley took the top spot in the Pro class and Jason Arrien was second. Don Mertens won the Sportsman class and Ryan Andrews was the runner-up.
