This past weekend was the first chance for high school sports teams to scrimmage against other squads and the Lowry High School football team was in Battle Mountain on Saturday. Pershing County also made the trip to Battle Mountain. The Buckaroo football teams will host Douglas on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the Lowry cheerleaders and dance team to perform as well. The Lowry varsity volleyball team will be in Yerington on Friday and Saturday for the Yerington Invitational and the freshman and JV volleyball teams travel to Truckee. The Lowry cross country team travels to Minden on Friday for the Douglas Class Races.
