July 27

Jared Stanley Pearson was charged with gross misdemeanor battery on an officer. On April 24, 2020 the defendant was released on a medical own recognizance prior to the completion of the booking process. On July 27, 2021 the defendant was present in court with attorney Jeffery Miller. Pursuant to negotiation the state amended the complaint to NRS 200.481 simple battery. The defendant entered a guilty plea to the amended charge. The court accepted the defendant’s plea and ruled as follows: Fine of $1000 + $140 AA for a total of $1,140 to be paid by the defendant.



Brian Edwin Vye was charged with misdemeanor basic speed 1 - 10 over the limit. At the hearing on July 27 the citation was amended by Deputy District Attorney Mark Shockley to NRS 484B.617 Rural Speed. Fine and fees to remain the same. The defendant was ordered 30 days to pay.



Gary Lee Land Jr was charged with misdemeanor failing to properly maintain a travel lane resulting in an accident. At the hearing on July 27 the citation was amended to NRS 484B.617 Rural Speed per Deputy District Attorney Mark Shockley. The defendant was ordered to pay the $115 fine in full on the day of the trial.



Reagan Rae Orloff was charged with misdemeanor failure to drive on the right side of the road, resulting in an accident. At the hearing on July 27 the citation was amended to NRS 484B.617 Rural Speed per Deputy District Attorney Mark Shockley. The defendant was ordered to pay the $355 fine in full on the day of the trial.



John Albert Gonzales was charged with misdemeanor operating an unregistered vehicle/trailer. After several agreements off the record to reset the case, the hearing was held on June 15, 2021. The defendant was not present. The DA requested a bench warrant be issued for the failure to appear. At the show cause hearing on July 27, 2021 Deputy District Attorney Mark Shockley dismissed the citation. 



Bezhan Ismoilov was charged with misdemeanor failure to drive within marked lanes. At the hearing on July 27 the citation was amended to NRS 484B.617 Rural Speed. The defendant was ordered to pay the $355 within 30 days.



Keith Steven Bolkish was charged with misdemeanor basic speed 1 - 10 over.  At the hearing on July 27 the citation was amended by Deputy District Attorney Mark Shockley to NRS 484B.617 Rural Speed. Fine and fees to remain the same. The defendant was ordered 30 days to pay.



Glenda Kay Sandoval was charged with misdemeanor threatening or obscene letters or writings. On March 18 a memo was sent to HCDC to release the defendant as no criminal complaint was filed by the DA’s office in a timely manner. On May 3 the defendant failed to appear for her arraignment hearing and a cash only warrant in the amount of $840 was issued. On May 30 the warrant was served. On June 29 the defendant requested to speak with the DA and the case was set for pretrial. On July 27 the defendant was present in court. DDA Mark Shockley made a motion to dismiss the case. The court granted the DDA’s motion and the case was dismissed in open court.



Michael Troy Martinez was charged with misdemeanor basic speed 11 - 20 over limit. On July 27, the defendant spoke to DDA Mark Shockley. The defendant agreed to plea to the citation but the county agreed to make the total fine be $200.
