After a year’s absence of junior high school sports, the Winnemucca Junior High School girls basketball team has begun open gyms for the upcoming season.
The seventh-grade squad will hold open gyms on Aug. 4, 9 and 11 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at the junior high school. The eighth-grade team will have open gyms on Aug. 3, 5, 10 and 12 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
Tryouts for the seventh graders will be Aug. 16-17 from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. and the eighth graders tryout on Aug. 18-19 from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
All girls must have physical and other paperwork completed and on file prior to tryouts. This paperwork is available in the WJHS office or during open gyms.
