Christopher Eric Brown, 57, of Newberg, Oregon passed away in Eugene, Oregon on July 6, 2021 after suffering a brain aneurism.
He was surrounded by his three children and mother. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Christopher was born on August 24, 1963 to Lawrence and Nancy Brown in Pasadena, California.
He attended school in there until the age of 16 when left home and moved to Paradise Valley, Nevada where he worked for and lived with Duane Boggio on Sperry Ranch.
He also attended Lowry High School in Winnemucca.
Chris worked at Sierra Pacific Power in Valmy, Nevada from age 22 to 37. He met and married Valerie Hocks of Winnemucca where their daughter Synthia Brown was born in 1990. Chris and Valerie divorced in 1995.
Having met Joyce Harrer while in high school he followed her to Newberg, Oregon in 1998.
They married and had two children, Erica and Alex Brown.
Chris worked as a journeyman mechanic in various papermills throughout Oregon and Washington for 21 years. Joyce and Chris divorced February, 2021.
Christopher loved sailing, river rafting and fishing in his free time.
He enjoyed building and fixing things, caring for his small herd of cattle, and anything that kept him busy.
His family has very fond memories of snow and water skiing, boating and camping.
Chris is survived by his mother Nancy Eilbert (Keith) of Mankato, Minnesota; his father, Lawrence Brown (Delphine) of Allenspark, Colorado; children are Synthia (Jeremy) Kenison, Erica Brown and Alex Brown; grandchildren are Beau Kenison and Lincoln Kenison; siblings Scott (Sarah) Brown, Aubyn (Scott) Stelmach and his significant other Laura Crofoot.
A memorial will be held in Paradise Valley, Nevada on August 21, 2021 at 11:00 am and his ashes will be scattered at the gravesite of Duane Boggio.
There will be a barbecue immediately following and in lieu of flowers please share with the family a fond memory and/or picture of Christopher addressed to Synthia Kenison, 460 Aron Court, Winnemucca, Nevada 89445.
