March 30
Thomas Allen Slate pleaded guilty on misdemeanor charges of count one: failure to report an accident to police and count two: driving without a valid license. On count one the court ordered a $500 fine + $140 administrative assessment, on count two the court ordered a $100 fine + $95 administrative assessment with credit for eight days time served given.
A misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle without a Nevada vehicle registration against Arturo Anguiano Jr. was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
Gabriel Albert Wetzel pleaded guilty to misdemeanor count one: driving under the influence first offense and count two: driving in excess of posted speed zone 21-30 over limit. The court ordered 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for one year on the condition two days are served with credit give for 14 hours time served and remaining 34 hours converted to 34 hours of community service or 68 hours house arrest. The court ordered a $400 fine + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + victim impact panel + DUI school + breath interlock device for 185 days, with count two to run concurrent with count one.
Misdemeanor charges of driving while license is caneled/suspended/revoked and headlights required against Leonard Madrid Jr. were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court.
April 6
Paul Proulx pleaded guilty to misdemeanor suspended/revoked plates. The court ordered a $155 fine + $105 administrative assessment.
April 7
Nicholas Joseph Desrosiers pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense. The court ordered 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for one year on the condition two days are served, with credit given for one day time served and the remaining 24 hours converted to 48 hours of house arrest + $400 fine + $125 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee + DUI school + victim impact panel + breath interlock device for 185 days.
April 8
A gross misdemeanor child abuse/neglect/endangerment charge against D’Ann Sarai Brown was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court pursuant to a deferred prosecution agreement following proof of a completed parenting class.
