Gary “Pete” Sweet, of Winnemucca, Nevada passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2,2021 at the age of 80.
Pete was born in Blossburg, PA on February 3, 1940 to Delos Freeman and Pauline Paddock.
He was drafted into the Army in August of 1963, getting and honorable discharge in August of 1965.
Pete was employed at Dietrich’s Milk Products in Middlebury Center, PA for 38 years in a variety of positions including bulk truck driver, butter maker and mechanic. Upon retirement in 1998, he and his wife Kathy moved to Winnemucca, NV where he loved spending time at local dirt racetracks, playing poker and restoring old cars.
Pete will be loved and missed by his surviving wife Kathy; his two sons David and Rodney (Yasmin); his daughter Mindy (Rob); granddaughter Kayleen; grandson Jeffrey; and his beloved dog Spanky.
