Aug. 13

A felony charge of possession of a controlled substance against Dwight Lyle Brown was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court pursuant to plea agreement. 

Aug. 17

Matthew Patrick Conway pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving, amended from an original misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense charge. The court ordered a $750 fine + $140 administrative assessment with $390 suspended on the condition there are no like violations within one year. A misdemeanor charge of fail to drive within marked lanes was dismissed. 



Travis Robert Finlayson pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense. The court ordered 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for one year on the condition two days are served, leaving a balance of 36 hours jail time or 72 hours house arrest. The court ordered a $400 fine + $125 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee with a victim impact panel and DUI school to be completed and a breath interlock device for 185 days with credit for 76 days given. A misdemeanor charge of fail to drive within marked lanes was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations. 

Aug. 18

Dennis Bell Eckhardt pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense. The court ordered 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for one year on the condition two days are served with credit for 12 hours time served given and the remaining 36 hours converted to 72 hours of house arrest. The court ordered a $400 fine + $125 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee and a victim impact panel and DUI school were ordered. Pursuant to plea negotiations, the DA’s office dismissed a misdemeanor charge of basic speed. 



A misdemeanor charge of basic speed 11-20 over the limit against Patrick D. Masters was amended to reflect stop/stand or park. Fines and fees were amended to $100 fine + $95 administrative assessment. 



A misdemeanor charge of leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle against Angelina Rose Canavan was dismissed pursuant to statute. 



Agueda Arellano-Sandoval pleaded guilty to misdemeanor destroy or injure real/personal property. The court ordered a $1,000 fine + $140 administrative assessment with $640 of the fines suspended for one year on the condition that there are no like violations of the law. 



A misdemeanor charge of basic speed 31-40 over against Brett Michael Oelrich was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to the one-time dismissal statute. 



A misdemeanor reckless driving charge against Leroy Ben Seidel Jr. was amended on a motion by the DA’s office to impeding traffic with fines totaling $500. 



Steven Bradley Wright pleaded guilty to misdemeanor throwing a burning cigarette or other material from a moving vehicle. The court ordered four days jail time served for $640.

August 20

Felony charges of unlawful use of a controlled substance and three counts possession of a controlled substance against Michael Richard Prather were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court pursuant to plea negotiations. 



Michael Richard Prather pleaded no contest to misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense. The court ordered 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year on the condition he serves two days with the two days converted to 96 hours of house arrest. The court also ordered a $400 fine + $125 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee and completion of DUI school and a victim impact panel. 

Aug. 24

A misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia against Aaron Wade Crutcher was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office. Felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a controlled substance against Crutcher were also dismissed in a separate case. 

Aug. 25

Mary Elizabeth Sawaya-Chavanel pleaded no contest to misdemeanor rural speed, amended from an original misdemeanor charge of basic speed 11-20 over limit. The court ordered a $200 fine + $105 administrative assessment. 



Misdemeanor charges of no proof of insurance, suspended/revoked plates and two headlamps required against Anthony Barber were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court pursuant to plea negotiations and because the defendant provided valid registration.
