Union Township Justice Court

Items in the Court Docket are compiled from public records contained in the Union Township Justice Court and the Sixth Judicial District Court. The Humboldt Sun reports all felony hearings, misdemeanor convictions and dismissals for which the court releases information. When requested by the individual, the Sun will post the person’s mug shot with their court disposition.

October 6

Aaron Jones pleaded guilty to misdemeanor impeding traffic. The court ordered a $50 fine + $65 administrative assessment. A misdemeanor charge of fail to obey traffic control devices was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to terms of the plea agreement. 



Krissy Kathleen Ellison pleaded guilty to misdemeanor basic speed 1-10 over, amended from an original charge of misdemeanor basic speed 21-30 over limit. The court ordered a $250 fine + $105 administrative assessment. 



Jennifer Browne pleaded guilty to misdemeanor due care, amended from an original misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence first offense. The court ordered a $100 fine + $95 administrative assessment. A misdemeanor charge of fail to drive within marked lanes was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations. 



A misdemeanor charge of driving with license suspended against Cherie Lynn Crutcher was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office and a fine for misdemeanor suspended license plates was reduced to $195. 



October 7

Paula Barajas pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery, amended from an original felony charge of battery with substantial bodily harm. The court ordered a $1,000 fine + $140 administrative assessment. 



A misdemeanor charge of failure to yield at an intersection - accident against Melissa Lynn Hunewill was amended to reflect rural speed, with the fines to remain the same. 



A misdemeanor charge of fail to obey limitations overtaking on left against James Patrick Kerrick was amended to reflect rural speed, with the fines to remain the same. 



A misdemeanor charge of basic speed 21-30 over limit against Jefferson Lester Silva was amended to reflect basic speed 1-10 over with the fines to remain the same. 



A misdemeanor charge of basic speed 21-30 over and against Zhenhao Luo was amended to reflect basic speed 1-10 over with the fines to remain the same. A misdemeanor charge of driver’s license required was dismissed as the defendant provided proof of a driver’s license.
