Sept.15
Javier Gonzalez-Esquivel Jr. pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drawing a deadly weapon in a threatening manner.
The court ordered five days time served and admonished the defendant on staying away from the victims in the matter.
Sept. 16
Veronica Alcaraz pleaded guilty to misdemeanor dog at large first offense and permit dog to chase/worry/injure or kill domestic animals on open range/private property unlawful.
On the dog at large charge, the court ordered a $10 fine + $50 administrative assessment and on the second count the court ordered a $250 fine + $105 administrative assessment with $355 of the fees and fines suspended for one year on the condition there are no like violations of the law.
A misdemeanor charge of license required first offense was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office as proof of dog license was provided.
Sept. 22
Sukhsanjam Singh pleaded guilty to misdemeanor rural speed, amended from an original charge of basic speed 11-20 over. The court ordered a $150 fine + $95 administrative assessment.
Sept. 24
Dwight Lyle Brown pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery first offense. The court ordered a $200 fine + $105 administrative assessment + $35 special assessment fee with two days given credit for time served.
The court ordered 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for a period of two years and the remaining two days converted to community service.
The court ordered 26 sessions of batters intervention counseling. Misdemeanor charges of battery and injury to or destruction of property were dismissed in open court on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.
A felony possession of a controlled substance charge against Lisa Ann Story was dismissed in open court on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.
Lisa Ann Story pleaded no contest to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The court ordered credit for 12 days time served.
Drea Austin Sears pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery and assault. The court ordered credit for nine days time served twoards count one and nine days time served towards count two.
Joseph William Cox III pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery, amended from an original charge of misdemeanor domestic battery first offense. The court ordered credit for five days time served.
Sept. 29
Sarah Kathleen Gomes was found guilty of misdemeanor driver fail to obey traffic control devices following a bench trial. The court ordered a $100 fine + $95 administrative assessment.
Sept. 30
Misdemeanor charges of driving with suspended plates and no proof of insurance against Jenisa Howard were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
Oct. 1
A misdemeanor charge of injury or tampering with vehicle against Stormy Jay Ayer was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court as the restitution would be ordered in another case.
Karri Lynn Chandler pleaded no contest to misdemeanor headlamps not illuminated when required and inuuring or tampering with a motor vehicle. The court ordered $500 for each count and credit for nine days time served.
A felony possession of a stolen vehicle charge against Karri Lynn chandler was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court.
Stormy Jay Ayer pleaded no contest to misdemeanor domestic battery. The court ordered a $200 fine + $105 administrative assessment + $35 special assessment with fines and fees converted to two days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year with two days given for time served.
The court ordered $300 restitution to be paid and admonished that pursuant to NRS 176.337 possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of firearm or ammunition may constitute a felony.
