Starla Lari Gordon, 37, a life-long resident of Lovelock NV, was taken from us suddenly on 09/26/2020 due to an unforseen health complication.
She is survived by her fiancée Nathan Swindlehurst, her mother Kathy Gordon, her father Larry Gordon, her sister Melissa Greene, her brother David Wise, and her brother Levi Gordon.
She is further survived by Nathan’s children, Morgan and Matthew, as well as a large extended family.
Starla was intelligent, funny, stubborn, loyal, kindhearted, and generous.
She had a penchant for rules and accountability which served her well in her role as Plant Trainer at US Silica.
She dedicated over 15 years to her career with US Silica formerly EP Minerals, and was a beloved figure for many; both on and off the job.
Starla loved music, movies, art, and nature. She was never one to back down from an adventure when the opportunity arose.
Starla always managed to be a light in the lives of the people she met.
She encouraged people to reach their full potential, and was great at pulling friends, family, and co-workers alike, out of their shells with her warmth and humor.
A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on 10/18/2020 at the Pershing County Community Center, 820 6th St, Lovelock, NV 89419.
Face masks will be required upon entry.
