Emmett M. Cox, 89, passed away on November 19, 2020, at his home in Lovelock, Nevada surrounded by his loved ones.
Emmett was born December 29, 1930 in Nowata, OK., to Fred and Carrie Cox.
Emmett served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was very proud to have served his country. He was also a member of VFW.
He worked for Eagle Picher, Inc., for 30+ years until his retirement in 1992.
After Emmett’s retirement, he enjoyed traveling, golfing, and gardening.
Emmett is survived by his wife of 70 years, Georgianna; daughters Debbie Bordenkircher and husband Dave; Vicki Gillis and husband Grady. He also has five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Joe Cox, and granddaughter Melissa Bordenkircher.
At Emmett’s request cremation rites were accorded and a private burial will be held at Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley, NV at a later date.
