It is with great sadness that the family of Gonzalo Mora announce his passing after a brief illness on Sunday, May 3rd, 2020, at the age of 69.
Gonzalo was born June 11, 1950, in Coalcoman, Michoacán, Mexico, where he lived until he met and married the love of his life Alicia.
With their first born the family of 3 moved to the United States in 1976 settling in Winnemucca where they have been long time residents.
Gonzalo worked for Winnemucca farms for many years where he made numerous friends who knew him as “Chalo”. He then took a job at Walmart until he retired. Gonzalo took advantage of his newly retired lifestyle watching sports, enjoying family gatherings, traveling to visit and attend family functions.
Gonzalo will be deeply missed by his wife Alicia G. Mora of 46 years, their two daughters Elena (Ricardo) Ruiz of Bullhead City, Az, Maria Mora of Winnemucca, Nv.
Their two sons Jesus Mora of Winnemucca, Nv, Francisco (Lisa) Mora of Winnemucca, Nv.
He will be extremely missed by his two spoiled and overly loved fur babies Pixie and Bella.
He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Leonel Mora, Adriana Mora, Ricardo (Melissa) Ruiz, Leticia Moody, Mona (Dustin) Hatch, Norma Ruiz, Kairo Mora, Anthony Mora, Marcus Mora, Kaden Mora, Natalee Ruiz. His great grandchildren Xavien, Kayden, Braxton, Areli and James.
Gonzalo will be forever remembered by his four sisters, six brothers, numerous loving relatives and friends who will all miss him greatly!
Gonzalo is preceded in death by his parents Cristobal and Maria Mora.
He truly was a wonderful man, husband and father that was loved immensely, he will be missed beyond words and our memories of him will be cherished!
A memorial will be held at a later date.
