Our family sadly announces the loss of Albert L. Tobiasson, of both Kings River and Reno, NV. Bert passed away on April 25, 2020, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV.
Born in July of 1938 to Neils and Lalla Tobiasson, Bert was one of 9 children growing up.
He served in the Army, worked as a salesman and served many other endeavors throughout his life, finding his niche and succeeding greatly in the world of farming.
He started out farming in Orovada, and later purchased the farm in Kings River; turning it into a 964 acre successful alfalfa operation that will forever be his legacy.
Bert was a teacher of life, strong in mind, body, work ethic, and integrity. He was self-made and most often self-taught, consuming knowledge on any topic that sparked his interest. He enjoyed life, whether it was travelling, playing bingo, or enjoying long walks.
Bert was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J Tobiasson, in 2005; he moved to Reno and continued to live with a passion for life.
Bert is survived by his two sons, Johnny McClerkin and Steven Tobiasson, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be planned later in the year.
