Lowry High School senior Kobe Stoker was named to the Northern 3A all-league, first team, selected by the 10 coaches in the Northern 3A.
Stoker was third in scoring on the Buckaroos, with 14.5 points a game.
He added 5.6 rebounds a game and one assist and one steal a game.
In addition, Stoker was named to the all-state, second team.
Lowry finished third in the Northern 3A at 14-4 and 18-8 overall. The Buckaroos lost to Elko in overtime in the Northern 3A regional semifinals.
Lowry’s Chad Peters was selected as the Coach of the Year and Elko’s Michael Klekas was named the Most Valuable Player.
Joining Stoker on the first team, were Churchill County’s Elijah Jackson and Thomas Steele, Fernley’s Carson Kingston, Elko’s Isaiah Dahl and South Tahoe’s Andrew Lehman.
Lowry’s JJ Backus and Klay Garner were named to the all-league, second team.
Backus was the leading scorer on the squad with 17.1 points a game. In addition, he averaged 2.3 assists, 1.8 rebounds and a steal a game.
Garner averaged 16.3 points and 6.8 rebounds a game. He added one assist, one steal and one block a game.
The second team was rounded out by Churchill County’s Avery Strasdin, Dayton’s Tyler Stolfich, Elko’s EJ Alvarez and South Tahoe’s Cameron Lehman.
Klekas, Jackson and Steele were named to the 3A all-state, first team and Cameron Lehman, Stoker, Kingston and Dahl were named to the second team
The all-league, honorable mention team included Sparks’ Jose Cadena and Trezelle Patterson, Fernley’s Daunte Ceresola, South Tahoe’s Carl Valiente and Logan Chapman, North Valleys’ Marcus James and Caleb Hunter, Spring Creek’s Kyle Owsley and Darin Holmes, Truckee’s Isaac Cruz and Ethan Flynn and Dayton’s Lance Peterson.
