McDermitt track and field competes in Spring Creek

On the same day that the NIAA announced the suspension of all spring sports and activities, the McDermitt High School track and field team was in Spring Creek for its opening meet of the year.

Meianah Bitt and Cayla Crutcher were the lone girls for McDermitt that competed.

Bitt had a throw of 63 feet, 7 inches in the discus and 24-7.75 in the shot put.

Crutcher had a toss of 69-3 in the discus and 23-2.75 in the shot put.

On the boys side, Waylon Nino had a time of 12.49 seconds in the 100-meter dash and stopped the watch at 14 minutes, 29.86 seconds in the 3,200 meters. Nino also competed in the shot put and had a throw of 35-0.25.

Steele Crossley had a time of 6:03.47 in the 1,600 meters and 13:26.08 in the 3,200 meters, while Alex Navarro had a time of 2:32.66 in the 800 meters.

Braeden Ramsey stopped the watch at 2:41.92 in the 800 meters. 

 Enrique Villalobos had a throw of 81-2 in the discus and 30-0.50 in the shot put and Tristan Bitt had a throw of 65-7 in the discus.

The 4x200 relay team placed third in a time of 1:52.44 and the 4x800 relay was fifth at 10:29.87.
