Battle Mountain Raceway broke ground on Friday, Feb. 21, on what will bet an amazing impact in the community for families to embrace the dream of children's racing.
Sunny Phillips QMA western Region President, Denise Smutny QMA National President and Santiago Villanueva, Battle Mountain Raceway Vice President, all came together and dug the first impact to begin this amazing track build.
QMA has begun five new facilities here in Nevada with five amazing dirt tracks all having their own challenge and design.
Angie Gonzales, Battle Mountain's President, is ecstatic to be able to reach out to the local families and surrounding areas to open up a new era of racing for children from 5-16.
Angie was on sight at Renegade QMA at the Winnemucca raceway for their ribbon cutting and said it was so awesome to see communities reaching out and supporting each other.
Mike Scott President of Winnemucca Raceway and VP of the QMA Western Region stated that they are so excited to come over as a team and help Santiago and Sunny build the next track in the region.
We as a whole in Nevada are supporting each other in designs and ideas to give the kids what is needed to help grow this sport. The more tracks we have the more races we can challenge the kids with.
Denise Smutny, QMA President, shared her desire to just be able to help promotes not just the sport of Quarter Midget racing but the family values and mission to help families build memories as they "Grow and Go in the sport."
The dirt here is amazing and the view is breath taking what a beautiful location to spend a day with the family race in the morning and stay and watch big races after. A great day for family time
