Barbra Belle Duecker passed away unexpectedly at home on June 23, 2020 following outpatient surgery.
Barbra was born in Crockett, Arkansas on April 6, 1967 to Norman Adian and Annabelle Pate Adian. Barbra lived in several different states growing up and graduated from Midway High School in Waco, Texas.
She then studied at West Texas State University.
Barbra worked as the faculty assistant and secretary at Battle Mountain High School in Lander County, Nevada.
All the students loved Barbra and she was a highly valued member of the faculty.
Barbra moved to Austin, Texas in 2007 and began working for Baylor, Scott & White Health as a Patient Services Specialist where she was considered a ray of sunshine with her sweet spirit, her kindness and her contagious laugh.
Barbra loved to go dancing and met Michael John Duecker at the Cotton Country Club in Granger, Texas.
He would become the love of her life and they married on July 18, 2009.
Her new Duecker family loved Barbra for all her wonderful qualities, but most especially because she always took great care of Michael, and because she found Michael so charming from the day they met, until their last day together.
Barbra and Michael loved traveling and going to museums, attending musical events and always dancing.
They loved dancing together until Michael’s knees finally ended his dancing days. Barbra also loved doing arts & crafts and frequently got Michael involved in her projects.
She also loved playing piano and enjoyed playing piano in church. Hymns were her favorite songs to play.
Barbra’s greatest joys in life were her family and friends. She dearly loved her daddy and was always so kind to both of her parents.
She was someone you could count on any time of the day or night and was just one of those special people that made life better, just by knowing her.
Barbra was preceded in death by her father Norman Adian. She leaves to mourn her passing and to celebrate her life, her beloved husband Michael, her mother Annabelle, her son Christopher Mullins, her granddaughter Alissa Marie Belle Mullins, her stepson Justin Michael Duecker, her brothers James and Frank Adian and her sister Janice Pewarchie.
She is also survived by her father-in-law Milton Eddie Duecker, fondly known as Johnny, three brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
She and Michael had an incredibly special relationship with her niece Claire Belle Adian who spent many wonderful weekends and summer times with them. Barbra was most definitely a family gal and loved each and every member wholeheartedly.
