Karen Ann Bradshaw was born December 19, 1952 and passed away on May 20, 2020 from complications after surgery.
She was born in San Mateo, California, to Lloyd and Katherine Higley.
As a child, she spent some time in Upstate New York before her family settled in Carlin, Nevada. After graduating high school, Karen married her first husband and had two children, Michael and Laura.
Later in life while working as a nurse, Karen met the love of her life, Michael “Mike” Earl Bradshaw.
They were happily married for nearly twenty years until Mike passed away. They spent the majority of their time together making their life in Winnemucca and raising their two children.
Karen, who had been in Reno, moved back to Winnemucca and worked as a pharmacy technician helping and talking to people every day.
Karen was quite outgoing and friendly and loved helping people. She loved getting to know people and would entertain them with stories.
Karen is preceded in death by husband Mike Bradshaw, her parents and one granddaughter. She is survived by her son Michael Rogers and daughter Laura Mercado. She is also survived by her five remaining grandchildren and nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
In light of current circumstances, there will be a small graveside ceremony for Karen Saturday June 27th at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
