Battle Mountain High School Rodeo Club members Emma Lemaire and Desatoya Coombs have qualified for the National High School Finals Rodeo in Guthrie, Okla., next month.
Lemaire finished second in the season-long girls cutting standings.
Lemaire placed 11th in the barrel racing standings, 15th in breakaway roping and 16th in pole bending.
Lemaire and Alexus Carter were 16th in team roping.
Lemaire is eligible for the Silver State International Rodeo in all of those events.
The Silver State International Rodeo starts this weekend in Winnemucca.
Coombs earned a fourth-place finish in the season-long pole bending standings to advance her to the national finals.
Coombs and Lincoln County’s Wylee Mitchell are headed to the national finals in team roping after a fourth-place finish.
Coombs placed seventh in breakaway roping, seventh in goat tying, eighth in barrel racing, eighth in girls cutting,
Jolena Ayers placed sixth in pole bending, seventh in barrel racing and 18th in goat tying.
She qualified for the Silver State International Rodeo in each of those events.
Gracie Lou Holman placed seventh in girls cutting, eighth in pole bending, 17th in team roping and 26th in breakaway roping,
She will compete at Silver State in girls cutting, pole bending and team roping.
