Jiggs Goodwin passed away on June 8, 2020 at his Winnemucca, Nevada home surrounded by his family at the age of 94.
Jiggs was born on January 16, 1926 in Chico, California to Laurence and Daisy Goodwin.
Jiggs joined the United States Marine Corps in 1943 at the age of 17. He served in World War II.
He spent time living in Cedarville, California, Lovelock, NV and Winnemucca, NV.
He married Ruby Goodwin in 1946, the two were married until 1994. In 2005, Jiggs married Christine Goodwin and the two have been married ever since.
Jiggs worked as a ranch hand and cow boss at C-Punch Ranch as well as the Power Company.
He loved riding horses, cowboying, and spending time with his grandkids.
He also enjoyed his Korbel Brandy and Copenhagen. In his younger years, he rode saddle bronc horses and team roped.
He was very loved and will be missed by many.
Jiggs is survived by his wife; Christine, his children, Darwin (Pam) Goodwin and Penny (Roland) Belanger. Grandchildren: Tauni Basso, Kori Hardy, Dawn (Robert) Altmaier, Duncan (Christa) Mitchell, Arlene (Michael) Nelson, Simon (Julia) Sherwin, Natacha (Michael) Cook and Janine Goodwin. Great Grandchildren; Brandon Maigatter, Taylor Burgman, Kennedy Burgman, Aspen Luksik, Taryn Houston, Reagan Burgman, Makenna Houston, Conner Nelson, Brody Nelson, Cashlen Hardy, Colt Hardy, Remington Mitchell and Frey Mitchell, Ethan Sherwin, Charlie Sherwin, Felicia Tidwell, Skylar Cook, Stormi Byers, Malachi Tidwell and Jaden Sorenson. He is also survived by numerous Great - Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, his brother, Dale (Anita) Goodwin and sister, Belle Sandhagen.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Goodwin, his parents and his siblings, Kearny Goodwin, Mildred Webb, and Bea Winnop.
