Even though it was a little later in the year than normal, the annual Bombs for Moms baseball tournament, hosted by the Winnemucca Badgers travel baseball team took place this past weekend. Teams from around northern Nevada were in Winnemucca for the two-day tournament. There were three age groups, including 10U, 12U and 15U. Winnemucca fielded teams in the 12U and 15U divisions. After pool play on Saturday, both teams dropped their opening game in bracket play on Sunday. The 12U lost 7-4 and the 15U 3-2 in nine innings.
