Nevada football to play at Minnesota

RENO — The University of Nevada football team will travel to play Minnesota in 2024 as part of its non-conference schedule, the schools announced today.

The one-game contract between the Wolf Pack and Golden Gophers calls for a Sept. 14, 2024 meeting at TCF Stadium in Minneapolis.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the schools. Nevada has played six games in its history against Big Ten teams, three times against Northwestern, twice against Purdue – including the Wolf Pack’s come-from-behind victory to open the 2019 season – and once against Wisconsin.

Nevada has future games scheduled against the Big Ten’s Iowa (2022) and Penn State (TBD). The Wolf Pack has also played against Nebraska and Maryland prior to those schools joining the Big Ten.
