Jose (Pepe) Villanueva passed away on February 16, 2020, at the age of 38.
Pepe was born October 12, 1981 in Elko, Nevada to Rosivelia and Manuel Villanueva Sr.
Pepe lived in Battle Mountain, Nevada his whole life. He graduated from Battle Mountain High School with the class of 2001.
Pepe worked as an Underground Miner for SMD.
Pepe was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, he was a member of the Battle Mountain Raceway and the Battle Mountain Basque Club.
He loved his family and friends. He loved racing, camping, hunting and mostly just being with and enjoying time spent with his family and friends.
Pepe is survived by his loving wife; Shayne Villanueva, children; Taylor, Destiny (Chach) and Jayci. Grandchildren; Camden and Kinsley. Siblings; Candido Villanueva, Santiago Villanueva, Manuel Villanueva Jr. and Alicia Minchew. As well as brother-in-law; Jim Minchew and sister-in-law; Cheri Villanueva.
Pepe is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Jesus Villanueva Baral and Josefa Graña, maternal grandparents; Manuel Jimenez and Taurina Flores and nephew; Cristian Villanueva.
Services for Jose Villanueva will be held at St. John Bosco Perish 384 S. Reese St. Battle Mountain, Nevada 89820.
Rosary and Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
Mass will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 12:00 pm. Mass will be followed by graveside services and a reception at the Civic Center at 625 S. Broad Street Battle Mountain, NV 89820
