BAKER — Great Basin National Park will be reopening the Lehman Caves Visitor Center on February 15, 2020. The new exhibits are installed and this week the finishing touches are being added.
This project was funded by the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act (SNPLMA). The exhibits feature interactive exhibits that children and adults will have fun exploring. You can walk through the exhibits and look for cave invertebrates like pseudoscorpions. Listen for dripping water and chirping bats. There is even a cave tunnel to walk through.
This spring additional exhibits will be installed outside the Lehman Caves Visitor Center to complete the project. A formal grand opening will be held on Aug. 15.
