Foley’s Pro Shop wins 2020 Don Peters Memorial tourney

Foley’s Pro Shop out of Reno won the 2020 Don Peters Memorial Tournament held in the first weekend of February at Spare Time Bowl.

The Winnemucca Inn provided $2,800 in prize money and Winners Inn contributed $1,000. Nearly 110 bowlers participated, with 93 of them from out of town. Over $10,000 in prize money was awarded as 36 teams competed. 

Foley’s Pro Shop won the top prize of $3,600 and team members include Nick Tanner, Jason Jones and Patrick Foley Jr.

Broken Arrow (Kevin Owens, Kristepher Garcia, Delbert Sturm) finished second and earned $2,700. Orphan’s (Jason Robinson, Paul Belino, Scott Carpenter) placed third and won $1,950. Sock Sucker (Larry Sather, Derek Murray, Doug Haylett) were fourth and won $1,500.

Older then Dirt (Dwayne Newkirk, Ed Hunt, Mike Taylor) placed fifth and Bowling Solutions (Jacob Dobkins, Scott Roe, Shawn Horenberger) were sixth. 

Do It For E (Matt Haylett, Andy McGilvery, Ajay Walters) placed seventh and The Curb (Allan Eichorn, Debra King, Jeff Conradi) finished in eighth.

The high team game went to Christy’s Crew (Dave Christy, Randy Elder, Josh Zimmerman) with a 778 series. Josh Cook had the high individual game, with a 299. The high average out of the money went to Jeff Morley at 221.25. Alex Suponch had the high individual points won/out of the money with 18.

Carson Lanes (Andrew Gatrell, Rob Munoz, Justin Yates) led the way in Saturday’s results, while 3Foley’s Pro Shop and Older than Dirt were second and third, respectively.
