Mary Loretta Wolters passed away on August 16, 2020 in Battle Mountain, Nevada at the age of 84. Mary was born on November 30, 1935 in Venice, Illinois to Archie Parker and Elsie Taylor.
Mary grew up in Madison and Granite City, Illinois until age 16. I
n Illinois, she worked for the O & Illinois Glass Company. She then moved to Ventura, California with her sisters; Betty and Juanita.
She lived there until 1971. She spent some time living in Roseburg, Oregon where she worked for Roseburg Lumber Company. She also spent time living in Green River, Wyoming. She then moved to Battle Mountain where she lived until her passing.
She married Bobby Hunter, the two were married in 1951 but divorced the same year.
She then married Elmer McCain in 1952 the two were married until 1955. Her and Elmer shared one son, Claude “Bear” McCain. She married Forrest Theuret the two were together from 1957 – 1965. The two shared two sons, Forrest “Chip” Theuret and Bobby Theuret. On April 9, 1971 she married Richard C Wolters Sr. the two divorced in May of 2019. Mary and Richard Sr. shared two children, Richard C Wolters Jr. and Kristi.
Mary belonged to the Women’s Prayer Group in the Nazarene Church and the Lady Lions Club in Roseburg, Oregon. The Ladies Bible Study Club in the Monroe Avenue Baptist Church in Green River, Wyoming. She also belonged to the First Baptist Church in Battle Mountain, NV.
She enjoyed cooking for family, sewing, listening to music, and dancing, caring for her kids and grandkids, and playing cards especially Yahtzee!
Mary L Wolters is survived by her children; Forrest (LaDonna) Theuret of Nampa, ID, Bobby G Theuret of Battle Mountain, NV, Richard C Wolters Jr. of Battle Mountain, NV and Kristi (Eric) Nelson of Myrtle Creek, OR. Grandchildren; Eric, Shannon and Vincent McCain (Myrtle Creek, OR) Misti Theuret Del Rio and Katrina Palmer (Nampa, ID), Stacy Brainard (Battle Mountain, NV) Matthew Theuret (Elko, NV) Richard III, Mary, Kailee, DJ Wolters (Battle Mountain, NV), Johnathan Smith, Rebecca and Jillian Nelson (Myrtle Creek, OR). Great-Grandchildren; Briannah Davis (Spokane, WA) Alyssa and Elijah Palmer (Nampa, ID) Justin and Reggie Del Rio (Nampa, ID) Nash Brainard (Battle Mountain, NV) and Jeremiah Wolters (Battle Mountain, NV). She is also survived by nieces and nephews; Linda Billick (Madison, IL), Gary Parker, Vickie (Bob) Barton, David (Ellen) Parker, Lisa (Rob) Clark, Mary Ann Minner, and Jerry Christoff all of Granite City, IL.
She is preceded in death by her spouses; Elmer McCain, Forrest Theuret and Richard C. Wolters Sr. Parents, Archie Parker and Elsie Taylor. Siblings; Virgil Parker, Betty, and Juanita Jordan. Son, Claude “Bear” McCain, grandson, Timothy Smith and nephew, Johnnie Parker.
Services for Mary Loretta Wolters will be held at a later date.
