Winchell graduates from United States Marine Corps boot camp

PVT. Ashton Winchell, 20, of Winnemucca NV, graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on July 24, 2020. 

PVT. Winchell successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD San Diego with fellow recruits in Bravo Colo., Platoon 1030, while in recruit training PVT. 

Winchell along with his CO were the first recruits to experience Covid19 and after 28 days in quarantine were able to continue their training. 

After Bootcamp Graduation PVT. Winchell continued on to Camp Pendleton for one month at Military Combat Training. PVT. Winchell will head to Pensacola Naval Air Station NAS for his Military Occupation Specialty School, for three months training in Aviation Helicopter Mechanic School. PVT. 

Winchell will be stationed at in Virginia following training.
