Nevada drops ticket prices for majority of Mackay Stadium seating

RENO — As the University of Nevada prepares for the 2020 season, ticket prices for the majority of the seats in Mackay Stadium have been lowered as the department strives to make football gamedays fun, affordable and easy.

There is no increase for any of the Wolf Pack’s season tickets, and prices have been reduced for most of the seating areas in the stadium.

Season tickets now start as low as $89 per seat for the six-game home schedule with discounts available for children and seniors. Nevada is also offering new extended payment plan options for season-ticketholders.

Ticket prices for individual games have also been lowered and streamlined.

The cost for home games is as low as $20 for adults, and $10 for children, seniors, active-duty military and groups.

That means a family of four (two adults and two children) can enjoy any Wolf Pack home game for as low as $60.

“We’ve endured unprecedented times this spring with the COVID-19 outbreak and as we prepare for the return of competition, the safety of our fans and the safety of our student-athletes and staff are top of mind,” said athletics director Doug Knuth. “And if there are any disruptions to the season, we will have refund options available. We are excited and optimistic for the return of sports. It’s going to be a fun-filled season at Mackay and we need you there.”

The club seat area of sections B & F also dropped slightly for this season. The cost of luxury suites, loge boxes, remaining club seats and the seats in Section D will be the same for the 2020 season.

The school had finalized the new ticket pricing earlier this year but the season-ticket renewal process was delayed in wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. However, renewals will be delivered via email beginning this week and the department is offering payment plan options for any season-ticketholder who may need them. Payments can be spread out over four installments, or can be customized by working with our ticket sales team.

Nevada is also finalizing ticket prices for men’s and women’s basketball and the renewal process for those sports is expected to begin in the coming weeks. The Pack will lower prices throughout Lawlor Events Center for Nevada men’s basketball going into the 2020-21 season, and will add family friendly ticket packages and mini-plans for Wolf Pack women’s basketball.

Fans looking to buy new season tickets for football can place a deposit for as low as $50 at any time. The football renewal process is scheduled to go into June, with public on-sale of both season tickets and single-game tickets tentatively set for June 17.

Wolf Pack ticket representatives are available over the phone at (775) 348-PACK and via email and WolfPackTicketInfo@unr.edu. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.NevadaWolfPack.com.

The Wolf Pack football team will play six home games at Mackay Stadium this season, including non-conference games against UC Davis and UTEP.  Mountain West opponents in Mackay Stadium this season include West Division showdowns against San Diego State and Fresno State, plus visits from Wyoming and Utah State of the Mountain Division.

The fan-friendly schedule includes three home games before the end of September and five games in Mackay Stadium before the end of October.

The Wolf Pack, which has posted back-to-back winning seasons and appearances in the 2018 NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl and last season’s Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, is poised for an exciting 2020 season as it returns top-end skill players in quarterback Carson Strong, running backs Toa Taua and Devonte Lee, and wide receivers Romeo Doubs and Elijah Cooks. First-team All-MW selection Dom Peterson anchors a Wolf Pack defense that will be led by first-year coordinator Brian Ward under fourth-year head coach Jay Norvell.
