It was a mixed bag of results for the Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team this past weekend.
The Lady Longhorns opened Northern 3A ‘B’ division play against Dayton on Friday afternoon and rallied for a 2-2 tie. The Dust Devils scored both of their goals in the first 40 minutes of play to lead 2-0 at halftime.
However, the Battle Mountain defense stepped up in the second half and held Dayton scoreless. The Lady Longhorns fought back with a pair of goals to secure a point in the standings.
On Saturday, Battle Mountain hosted Whittell and lost 7-0 to the Warriors.
Battle Mountain hosts Fernley on Friday at 5 p.m. and Yerington on Saturday at 1 p.m.
